1st Poodle Now Bully

So to make a long story shorter while I was on a day trip to OKC bf calls said there's been an accident and a box knife fell off the dresser ( he was working on something and cat jumped up there ) hit the poodle on its side. Bf said he took him to vets to get stitches well while they were doing that they figured out his stomach got nicked too. He had ER surgery at vets 5 days comes home and guess what.

Col. Went out to go potty came back in limping. He's not yelping or anything. There is no heat no swelling nothing looks broke. Doesn't even make a sound walking. He does favor it. Wondering if he was running and slipped or bumped it on the railing.

definitely could have pulled a muscle, give it a few days and see how he does, if he lifts it or will not put weight on it, then you'll need X-rays to see if he torn anything.

Very sorry, Heather...bad comes in threes!

Keep Col crated and quiet (hard I know) but do this 3-4 days and hopefully
it's just sprained or pulled and will heal up.

Well, without examination it's only a guess. Brutus pulled a muscle so badly
and limped terribly that I was scared too. I crated him 3 days and he was better
then went right back to awful favoring that hind leg so I bit the bullet, did what
I had been told which was crate for a week, only out to eat, drink, potty then
right back in. Did this and it had healed, bullies can injure themselves so easily.
If, after doing this, he is still doing it then Vet exam is needed.
