I have ceramic water and food dish, I put his water bowl in a plastic dish pan from the dollar store! I have that on a bath mat! I couldn't believe in one day how soaked just a towel would get, so I got watched him drink and he drank from the very edge of the dish spilling most of the water out the side. I got the idea to put the water dish in a bigger container to capture the spilled mess. It works!!! I push the bowl to one edge of the plastic dish pan so any spills end up in the dish pan, then at night empty and clean all three dishes!!! My bathmat stays dry for well over a week before I wash it!!

We have stainless steel bowls for Pan and a matching set for the foster. Both sit on a mat so the drips don't get all over the floor and baseboards.

We use stainless steal for both food and water. I change the water bowl at least 6 times a day. We also use bottle water for Stinky since we live in the country.
