So, as some of you know I have Meatball. The super hyper bulldog. My husband and I were debating on getting a 2nd bulldog on the notion that they will cancel each other out. However, I'm nervous that maybe the other bulldog may not be so energetic. Than what lol:) I wouldn't want Meatball tormenting a laid back bully. My question is should the second dog be of another breed? Or stay with a bulldog, which the whole family really does loves! image.jpg

Same breed! Then again, I'm being biased. You also never know when any dog of any other breed won't be as active :)

Get another bully!! I am going to as well, my situation is we don't have a fence, so I can't rescue. So I am waiting to see in a cpl of yrs we are down sizing to a smaller home, it WILL have a fence!

as with any breed, not just Bulldogs, no two are exactly alike, but some breeds have tendencies, maybe a Boxer if you are not locked into a bulldog.

boxers are cool too and full of beans ;)))

A Bullie puppy! Two bullies is just right!

if you get another dog and the pup copy meatball then youll have two energetic dogs :), when you pick out a pup try get the one that really calm then the rest of the liter . GL

Thanks everyone who gave me advice! I really appreciate everyone's in sight. We are leaning towards bulldog, it's all we have ever known. We used to have 2 American Bulldogs 8+ years ago. Since theirs passing, Meatball is our first experience with English bulldogs. While he can be a bit "high strung" we just love this breed:)

they sure are addicting ;)

I have a boxer who is now 8 years old so she is not into playing anymore. But my 1 1/2 year old bully, roxy, is crazy, and I mean crazy hyper. I rescued another bully just two months ago and he is another lazy dog, to get Roxys energy out I let her play with my best friends boxer who is 6 months old. Boxers are amazing dogs and they are full of energy but they will slow down around 3or 4. If your bully is hyper I would recommend a boxer less then two years old!

I'm thinking about getting another bulldog myself. I think Tyson gets lonely at times when I leave for work in the mornings. Tyson is very hyper. He likes to play a lot
