We lost our French bulldog two months ago very suddenly. He jumped out of bed one morning and started having grand mall seizures. He had been acting normally up till that point had this was a shock. We rushed him to the emergency vet but they could never get him out of the seizure state and they said it was a brain tumor. He was only 10 years old and we adopted at 6. It was so quick and before we knew it, he was gone.

Two weeks ago, we had to make the decision to allow our 14 year elkhound, Buddie, to cross the Bridge. He too had a brain tumor. He was confused and wasn't eating. Seizures had not started yet, but the vet said we were headed down the same path. We adopted Bud at age 3 from a local shelter.

Both of these boys were wonderful fur kids and impacted our lives greatly. They are missed very much.

I'm so very sorry for your losses... It's so hard to lose our fur babies. I lost a bully puppy in April & just lost his Momma almost 3weeks ago. It's numbing to say the least... But we gave them lots of love, that's all that really matters. Prayers to you & your family...

Oh how heartbreaking. The very worst part of loving our babies so much, is losing them. And to lose two so close together...it's so hard. How lucky they were. To have been adopted and loved so much. They are together at The Bridge..

I'm so sorry! Was it related to the puppy's birth may I ask? I have a pair but both are fixed because I can't bear to lose her to a difficult pregnancy or birth. Mac was neutered due to his severe entropion and me not wanting to pass that on to any potential pups if we studded him out. His specialist got an old vet partner to come to her office when he was under for his eye surgery at the last minute since we agreed to it. She only charged us $100 for that so I'm pretty sure she had to pitch in the rest because that seems pretty cheap for a neuter. She was adamant about him not breeding so she made sure her old partner would come to do the neuter.

How heartbreaking! You loved them both and gave them a great life...and that is all that matters.

So sorry fir your heart breaking losses--- way too close and so sudden.
