Help Needed! Swollen & painful chin - Sally

Re: Swollen & painful chin - Sally

Back from the vet and that's the first thing he thought too. Because she has some very red gums in that area, he gave her a prescription of Clavamox for 7 days for gum/tissue infection. He's having me follow up that with Benadyrl twice a day just in case it was a bee sting. I've seen my share of yellow jackets/hornets recently so I'm guessing the way it came on so fast that it's a sting. He ruled out any fracture/break thank goodness.

Thanks everyone. I feel much better now. :whew:

All's good in the tooth section. :)

EXCELLENT! darn stingers!! Tell them to stay away form your angel!

JeannieCO Happy to hear that it seems to be nothing more serious. Next month the buggers will be worse because once they have their nests all full-they turn nasty. I have one dog who is extremely allergic-and she will chase them-very nerve wracking!!! yikes! I have to keep pred. on hand-last time it took prednisone and benedryl .

Poor baby girl, I hope she heals up fast. I think the best treatment (besides her meds) Are treats, yes lots and lots of good ones and she'll get better in a flash!

:(:(:( I did not put that link in there!

So glad to hear she's going to be better I was thinking about her all night!
