SubQ Fluids

Hi,

I’m currently giving my dog 250 mL of subQ fluids twice/day. If my dog eats 3 meals/day - canned food now & I add/spread out 500 mL of water between 3 meals… would that be the same thing?

if yes, would his urgency to pee increase or stay the same?

All good - got my answer. SubQ - 100% of the fluids enter the blood stream. Whereas drinking water, some is lost when they poop & pee.
