I think it is...at least with some bulldogs. Of all of mine only 4 were crazy about tearing up cardboard. And of those 4 only Dozer would eat it. He would, however, tear the box up completely before attempting to consume any part of it...and then, we gather up the mess...play time over.
They do get very excited when they know they're going to get any kind of box. Strikes barks for them...a lot.

OMG Dually does the same thing with boxes!! He just goes nuts whenever there is one within his reach!! To funny!!

oh my gosh, just look at that face. I love it. Tyson would eat it, he has in the past, and pooped cardboard for a few days!
