Soft tissue tumor

I went through chemotherapy treatments for my Lambeau due to lymphoma…. He made it 18 months post diagnosis but without insurance that covers it , you need to be ready for basically buying a new car in expenses.

I cherish every single second of those additional 18 months . I have it all documented in a thread on the site— search Lambeau lymphoma and you’ll be able to read through his journey.

Sending you lots of hugs and prayers
I just read your thread What a tough hard time you guys had. It is so unfair One day everything is great and then It just comes out of no where it’s a roller coaster ride. We found out about Max the day before I was scheduled for knee replacement We do have a appointment with the oncologist this coming Tuesday I do not want to start Radiation therapy and put him under again especially. He has been put under enough already If there was a majic pill at any cost I would love that At this point not sure what we will do except to talk with the oncologist and continue loving him Thank you for telling me your experience

My Jewel went through chemo. As @2BullyMama said it is a roller coaster of a ride. Be prepared though...quality of life concerns.
What I know from talking with the office it seems they want to do radiation therapy I was wondering if anyone went thru this and putting them under numerous times for treatment

I don’t have any memory of a member posting about radiation.

If you do decide to go this option , please post about it so others can learn.

My Mojo was 10 when he developed multiple myeloma. He had no symptoms and this was discovered in his blood work from his yearly exam. I'm lucky that I live in a city (Boston) with a fantastic animal hospital, Angell Memorial. Mojo was seen by an oncologist and was started on chemotherapy. It was a pill given for a week on/week off. The only side effect was that he was a little more sleepy than usual when taking the pills. The thing is, animals react differently than humans with a lot of treatments and you should ask the oncologist how the radiation/chemo will affect him. It may not be as bad as you think. Sadly, Mojo had a stroke (we don't think it was from the chemo) and I had to have him put to sleep. I am so glad that I was able to have more time with him and was lucky that I was able to afford the treatment.
