We own a five year old (or close to that age) Bulldog. We are not sure of his age since he is a rescue. We noticed a bump on his head and had taken him to our vet that took a sample of the cells and did a needle aspiration . We just got off the phone with our vet. The report could not confirm cancer or not. He needs surgery and the soft tissue tumor removed. Started looking for a surgeon who deals with soft tissue tumor removal The one I came up with so far is called Southwest veterinary surgical services in Gilbert AZ Wondering if you heard of them or have any other recommendations. Thank you in advance

Sending healing prayers… sorry this is happening

Thank you Max had the tumor removed a week ago and is doing great. It was a Grade 2 soft tissue sarcoma but being on the head they could not remove it all. So now we have a appointment with a oncologist. I will hear what he thinks and ask questions but will not put him thru treatment. He is happy like before. Any thoughts

I am so sorry to hear it was malignant. Hopefully, it is a slow-growing cancer and he can live happily. Let us know what the oncologist says. 🙏

Thank you Will keep you updated
Have appointment with the oncologist November 2 . I’m sure he is going to suggest radiation therapy treatment. Has anyone experienced this. I really don’t want to put Max thru it. He is very happy now

So sorry you have to go through this.

Do ask them 20million questions. Like will it come back. Cause you’re right, you don’t want to put him through all this. I previously mentioned this many times in here, Frankincense and Myrrh Essential Oil reduces tumours. There’s been some studies showing they do. I do use on regular basis an ultra sonic diffuser with a mixture of a few oils and have it running where the dogs slept. Now, “I’m NOT” saying it will work but I had an issue with Jake swinging his head left to right for no reason. I showed a video to my vet and he said he was very healthy and up to me to got see a specialist, 6,000$ and why put him through tests. So went home, thinking for the whole week and decided to leave him alone. I’m on the holistic side and do use a lot of essential oils. I order a high quality Frankincense and Myrrh (DoTerra, Young living) put a drop on top of his crown every day, a drop on my finger for his inner ear ABOVE the canal and 100% on a raw diet. It took a good year and he totally stopped. He lived another 3yrs.

Again, This is ME, I’m definitely not telling you what to do. I have a vet that thinks out of the box. Most vets will never agree to what I’ve done. Was it the oil? I can’t guarantee but I do believe in them.

Definitely do go get some answers from the appointment. Take it from there.

Do look up the studies. This is one example. Do not buy just any Oil cause most aren’t pure.

My wife also uses essential oils, she also believes in them. One thing I would say, is there is no right or wrong with this decision, its just different paths that you and your family and Max follow. I also know the decision that you make will be in the best interest of Max. Ask many ?s at the appointment. Good luck.

Thank you for a suggestion. There is so many different information on using oils around dogs. I have been concerned about using the oils but others do use them I need think if that is what I want to use. I will be asking a lot of questions It’s so hard when you love them so much Could you send the correct brand to buy If I decide to use them Thanks again

I also forgot to mention that I make chicken and beef for him with string beans and blue buffalo dry 2 cups per day I also give him salmon oil daily

DoTerra
Young living

These are basically the only brands I personally use. Also peppermint is very good and powerful. BUT…… if you have a cat, Do Not use peppermint in the household . Good for dogs not for cats. It’s just one of them things 🤷🏼‍♀️

I went through chemotherapy treatments for my Lambeau due to lymphoma…. He made it 18 months post diagnosis but without insurance that covers it , you need to be ready for basically buying a new car in expenses.

I cherish every single second of those additional 18 months . I have it all documented in a thread on the site— search Lambeau lymphoma and you’ll be able to read through his journey.

Sending you lots of hugs and prayers
