i have a 4 months old pup, that has some kind of skin rash in his legs he always bite and lick them they r red and some get dry with time,,,,

any one with this problem , any suggestions

i feed him royal canine dry food , medium junior

please take picture of him and post it.

it depends, it oculd be allergies or it could be a rash from not keeping his skin dry. lola's been itchin her rear end (not sure of the exact location as she can't exactly reach it) and she had a rash near her "girl parts". i kept it coated with antibacterial cream and antihistamines and she stopped...which led me to believe that it was the rash and not an allergy. can't be sure with your pup because we can't see.

Pictures? Could be a number of things, but my first guess is allergies. also, Royol Canin is not a very good food, lots of filler and grains which bullies tend to have issues with.

It could be allergies ... first of all Royal Canin is not the best food for bullies ... and/or it could also be allergies .... try and post a pic whenever you can so that we have a better idea of what it looks like.

I agree that the Royal Canine does have ingredients that dont agree with some bulllies.. It could be allergies but it could also be a bactierial infection...The best thing would to be try and post a picture for us to see. How long have you had the puppy??? Has the vet checked him out and done a skin scrape???? THere are some other things but the vet would be a good start for skin scraping to test

Yes, i did do that, not much bigger. Is he in grass or weeds a lot? If yes, clean his paws/legs after coming in from being out.... unscented baby wipes work well and you can also use epsom salt in warm water

nop no grass :( could it be food reaction ?

Yes... I think you said you are feeding Royal Canin? It is not a high quality food and contains a lot of fillers.... my boy could not eat it because he was allergic to rice and my girl is allergic to chicken. So, I feed grain free beef based Fromm.

did u do a test or how did u find out that they r allergic to rice n chicken ?
