Roxy was welcomed into the rescue as an owner surrender on February 24th. The people who bought her online thought she was young, healthy, and maybe pregnant. Their vet said she was much older and didn't take the time to correctly diagnose her. She had stage 3 heartworms and had to take meds to prep her HW treatment. She is now recovering and waiting for two surgeries: spay and dental in one surgery, and ACL repair in another.
