Question about Bulldog mix's naturally short tail?...

I have a 8 week old puppy whose mom is black lab and dad is boxer/bulldog mix. Well the litter had puppies with all different tail lengths, some short and some long. My puppy's tail is short and thick and barely even tapers off...does this come from the bulldog side? Labs and boxers both have naturally long tails. Thanks!

Bulldog or Boxer.... the Boxer also has a short tail (little nub)
