Maybe I am being paranoid. But I notice a pink spot on Tonka upper lip. It seems like he might have bit himself on accident. We were playing fetch and catching the ball yesterday. He doesn't seem bothered by it. Acting normal. Anyone know what it might be?

Thanks!

Is it acne? At about 1 1/2 years old, both of my bulldogs experienced acne for a couple of weeks, but their acne appeared in the chin area.

Looks like a small cut to me... put some witch hazel or neo on it. It should be fine!!! :D

I was thinking pimple too. But if it's an abrasion from playing i think it'll be okay. Tate and Finn are always getting scrapes here and there and they heal up pretty well. I wouldn't be worried about it!

Ouchie! I think it will be fine, i would also follow ddnene advice and clean it up and put some antibiotic on it

Thanks for all the help. Can't be too paranoid right? Where can I get witch hazel at? In store preferably. Neo? Like neosporin? Is it okay if he licks it?

How would you take care of it if it were a pimple?

You just want to keep the area clean and dry--wipe his mouth area gently after he drinks and eats; if you have plastic bowls, get rid of them and make sure Tonka is using stainless steel bowls instead. Apply the antibiotic cream and if he licks a little bit of it, I wouldn't be too concerned. Now, if the pimply thing doesn't get any better or looks worse or gets bigger in a few days, I'd want a vet to look at it.

Witch hazel is in all the drug stores ... I get it at Target, about $3 or $4 a bottle

Ace has acne breakouts from time to time. They will also bust open at times when they bump them hard while playing and etc. When Ace's acne was at its worst I tried several things but what seemed to work best was taking a really warm rag (of course not so hot that it would be uncomfortable) and holding it on the affected area for a few moments to help clean and open up the pores. And then as needed I applied a stridex pad to the acne as well. I used the warm rag everyday and the stridex every other day or so.

Great advice from the above members. Loki had puppy acne when he was younger and every now and again it will flare up some not much you can do but use the witch hazel and keep all folds and chin clean
