I keep dabbling on and off of here, popping in when I see an email that I can give advice to after my long journey with Curly. I do have another EB (if some of you remember) and my goodness is she the polar opposite of Curly. Curly was super laid back, minded his own business, only really wanted to play for about 10 minutes. Only enjoyed long walks in the evening…

So yea, I expected my next EB to be super laid back and chill. Nope! Not Joey. This dog is part kangaroo, keeps us on our toes. Her favorite things is flying off the couch to try to ride on my Great Dane’s back. She knows no limited and has had TPLO surgery now in both knees (thanks goodness for pet insurance!). She is 2.5 now and CRAZY! But a huge love bug. I’m waiting for the day she calms down and just wants to chill in the sun. Hopefully it happens sooner than later but for now, Joey was appropriately name…

We call them the crazy eyes!

When we lived on the mountain in Colorado, I would call her. She would look at me, look the other direction, then me again and bolt. Almost like a 3 year old child

one time she got the zoomies and there was snow on the mountain. She decided to bolt, run down a steep hill and then realized she had no brakes because of the snow. Ended up slapping against a pine tree. Got up and walked around like nothing happened.

I won’t even get into the time she fell off a waterfall.

I have this feeling that her pain receptors were bred out of her

Big lesson learned was that she needs a very short leash…and, again, thank goodness for pet insurance because this one is just pure chaos; super clever but makes the dumbest decisions. Like one time we left the kitchen for a second and wondered how the heck did she get on top of the fridge?? I assuming she was pretending to be a cat that day

Out of the 10 dogs we have had over time, and amongst her pack of 3, she is definitely the only one that truly pushes her boundaries because her life goal is to be a even knievel. We love her and she is definitely keeping us on our toes.
