Harlea 5/4/13 - 8/25/22
Harlea is currently on antibiotics and benadryl for the staph infection she has on her belly, but today I noticed something else that concerns me a bit. With the change of seasons she has had a bit of a runny nose, but today it is like someone turned on the water works and he nose is running non stop. It is still clear when you first look at it but I noticed one time there was a little bit of accumulation on one of her wrinkles and it was a bit milky in color. I am thinking it is a bit milky due to mixing with her saliva but I am not positive. She is eating, drinking and playing fine and otherwise acting normally. I just don't know what to do in this case other than take her back to the vet. Thoughts?

I'd keep a close eye today and tomorrow and see if any change in color of the discharge or her behavior. Since she is on antibiotics I would think it is not an infection starting up

Thanks. That is what I was thinking as well. I just had her outside and she gagged a bit after lying down. I just don't want her to aspirate on any of this crap.

It's a good sign if she's eating normally and I agree, it would be strange if she caught something while on the antibiotics. I hope it stops running.

oh poor baby Harlea! :( it really is very worrisome when somethings not right about them. Get well soon Harlea! oh and i hope Aria doesn't get sick either.

Clear usually means allergies… I would call the vets office to see what they say. Could it be a reaction to the meds?!!

Well... We are heading to the vet shortly. Something is not right as she has now started throwing up. At least when she was done puking she went and got a drink of water but the look on her face just broke my heart. I was saying help me daddy.

OH NO..... give her a hugs from me. hope it is nothing serious, maybe I gave her the flu

Oh crap Todd… sending hugs & prayers!!! Keep us posted...

Awe man, I'm sorry. I really hope it's nothing serious.

Hi Todd, so sorry Harlea is going through this. I hope she gets better soon, I agree with Christine that if she's already on antibiotics, it shouldn't be an infection, as that would be covered. It could be an allergic reaction or sensitivity to the medications she's on. Good that you're going back to the vet, better to be safe than sorry. Hope it's nothing serious, and she gets better. Please keep us posted as to what the vet says. Sending love, hugs, and prayers your way.

Oh no, I hope it is nothing serious. I will pray for a quick vet visit with nothing major going on. Please update as soon as you can.

She is getting a nebulizer treatment right now. Looks like it is the beginnings of pneumonia. I feel so horrible right now.
