Monday update on Ranger

So glad to hear Ranger is stable now. As Helene said, it sounds like he is in great hands. When Jax was in the hospital, it comforted me to know someone was always there with him. Me, Louie and Jax are sending all of our positive vibes for a quick recovery!

It's mostly short/flat nose dogs. Example my breeder when one of her females gives birth and the babies starts to drink momma's milk, very often she just stands there and keeps an eye/ear out. Often that's how you lose newborns...milk can go back up n diverts through the lungs. Like food can do that too. Not much you can do. It's the way the airways/nose is formed. I have to keep an eye on Duke everytime he eats. He inhales like a vacuum. Almost lost him once. Yesterday again he eats his frozen raw meat in small cubes n started to choke. I stood beside him getting ready but I left him do it himself as he was getting it down. Sometimes we cannot always be there. It just happens. They are flat nose dogs. We do our best to keep an eye on them and find great vets like yours.
