Minnie has another surgery Monday

Our sweet puppy has another surgery Monday. She had cherry eye in her right eye and it is now in her left. There are stitches still in the right, but tissue is bulging and the vet feels it is the start of cherry eye again so she is going to repair that eye as well. Minnie is such a trooper. She has spent so much of her puppyhood in an e collar....she will be less than thrilled, but that doesn't stop her. She is currently on eye drops and the inflammation has improved dramatically. Fingers crossed that this is successful!

Ohhh Poor sweet Minnie. It's just not fair. Maybe you could wait until she's spayed and only do one surgery? I know cherry eye looks bad, but doesn't bother them. Please let us know how she is.

She is already spayed. We had her spayed when she had her JPS and her palate surgery. Three in one! We call her the bionic bully. Ha

She is a dandy and we are lucky to have her. We are fortunate that we have a great vet who examines hips on puppies, otherwise we would not have known until she was an adult. The odds are in her favor for living a pain free life and the recovery time was two weeks and they went through the spay site. Compared to hip surgery on adult dogs, this was easy. But, we really will not know the true results until she hits over one year.
