Kevin's Birthday countdown....

I thought i'd give a running commentary leading up to Kevin's Birthday next week.

T-minus 8 days

I'm trying to see if Kevin knows its his birthday next week. So far.. he shows no signs of excitement. I made him try on a birthday hat today...

.. but he still doesn't seem excited.

Maybe its because i gave him one if his gifts early.. A nifty Coolaroo bed!!

... that his mom won't get off. (granted... she has a boo-boo on her foot so i think she's entitled).

I'm going to have to step up my game to get him in the birthday mood!!!

awww i love Kevin. he does look excited in that first photo. Brutus' birthday is Thursday and we have been preparing him....but he's kinda a goofball and isn't catching on.

I have a neighbor that takes his dogs to McDonalds on their B-Day and buys them 'happy meals'.. I was toying with this idea, but i don't think i could get Molly to ever eat her normal food again. And Kevin... well.. He probably doesn't need that much fat

Yes.. But then i always use it as an excuse to buy myself something fun. (cars.. toys... etc).

Speaking of cake.. Does anybody have a good dog-cake recipe? I found this one.

They both love it... Molly naps on it during the day & Kevin sleeps on it at night.

Here is what we did for Banks' b-day last month... I made her top round hamburger for breakfast and dinner, she got her favorite treat (frozen marrow bone) and then we let her have about an hour of fun..... see videos

7 Days until the big 1.0....

Kevin doesn't quite understand the 'birthday' decorations that are all over the house.

"Did somebody say brains?!?! Yummmmie"

Six puppies born on Oct 29th meant that Halloween got canceled last year. Kids under the age of 7 let out a sigh of relief.. Older Kids/Adults asked why our house wasn't decorated like a scene from a horror movie (Little did they know the horrors of EB Puppies going on inside!).

This year the Halloween festivities are back!

Kevin will be happy when the boxes of 'props' and costumes are put back in storage... He's getting tired of being dressed up in old wigs.
