Is that a scab or a lump somebody's gonna ask, so I'll be first, what are you feeding him?

How old is he ? and perhaps it could be environmental , grass, weeds, trees?

we have only been the same walk i always do to the park with the kids. Hes 17 weeks. We havent done anything different he only eats his food and been the places we normally go. He has been asleep for about 2 hours and it wasnt there before. Walked him several hours earlier.

Could just be a bug bite, I would just see what it looks like tomorrow to see if it is getting worse.

As there is just the one bump my guess would be some kind of bite. Keep an eye on it!

Looks like something my Frenchton gets a lot and in the same areas. I just assume they are bug bites as he has to pee on everything as soon as he's outdoors and exposing his inner thighs a lot, or maybe his own urine irritates him. I just wipe him down and apply Neosporin on any that look irritated. Nothing ever seems to come of them. My bulldogs never have this though. Keep checking it though cause some dogs can be allergic to insect bites.

I agree --- keep an eye on it , but it looks like a bug bite

Hi and thanks for the replies. The lump has gone down today about half the size. Just thought it was something bad as it shot up really quickly last nite. I was more worried about the dog than my 3 year old having his jabs on thursday!

Eh, yeah, the skin-kids and take care of themselves... the fur babies have no thumbs to do anything themselves.
