It all began, when I went to an event called Race for Rescue. I walked over to Socal Bulldog Rescue booth in 2013 not sure the month Oct or Nov. I met alumni Bulldogs with their owners. I sat down at the bench and noticed a beautiful white Bulldog (she had pink leash). I called her over and she sniffed me and went around my leg. I started to talk to her , " are you going to my friend "? A handler said , her name is Porkchop. I took her pic and went my merry way to start the race.
A few weeks past, I noticed she was a available for adoption! Great birthday/ Christmas gift to me!
To make this long story short, it wasn't easy at first . We fought and bumped heads, over alpha positions. She would snip, bit and talk back to me. It was rough road that I never thought would work out. As time went by , I worked with her in areas that needed to be sharpened. The result is she's finally got it! I am her mommy and she doesn't do any biting or snipping. She still growls at me if I clean her paws but no more fights!
I just like to encourage anyone who has a rescue bulldog they might have brought from monster ville keep working with your dog. Don't give up . You would not believe how many times I felt like giving up on her. I know, this had to be temporary behavior.
We are on our third year together , she's turned out to be BEST dog ever. I wouldn't trade her for the world
at this moment to describe her in one word, spoiled!
