Jewel is basically deaf now. we use signs to get her to do things and making new ones as wee go along. She is still my Princess.

One of my sister’s poodle is now completely blind. He’s 13 n diabetic. Needs his shots n all. The other 2 basically guides him around. I sure would pick deaf over blindness.

Yep we do. doctor stated hearing would be muffled. We use sign to sit etc when we trained her. She is still my princess.

Jewel got her stitches out 3/31 and drains came out on the 24th.

You know, you might not see a big difference in EB n sign commands as this breed still listens or obeys if they feel like it. :D

On the serious side, how is she doing?

Just now catching up...hoping all is going well. She will still be able to hear and respond to noise, voices. Awesome that you worked with hand gestures as you trained...that will pay dividends now. GLRJ&FAM!

I guess not too bad, another friend had a fire and her timeline was 10 months.

Pretty good. She is off pain meds now, drains and stitches removed.
