Strange that magpies are only in western North America, I've never seen one here in Toronto. The crows and ravens we have here are quite sinister looking.
I should call it the adventure of Nyala, Jake and the Magpie....Gave the pups their fish snack n yes, da Magpie came back. Even went for Jakeās poop. Jake decided to poop where we removed the deck to rebuild a new one. Magpie was standing on the pool to get ready for a poop snack. Ewwww

[MENTION=15310]helsonwheels[/MENTION] - We're starting to have a coyote problem in Toronto besides our raccoon problem. They're eating people's smaller dogs and outdoor cats and aren't easily scared away by noise any more. Any problems with that out west?
By the way, if the magpie is bothering you , you could probably hit it by swinging a tennis racket. We did that once with a bat inside the cottage and knocked it unconscious, then picked it up with the racket and threw it outside.
