CAN ANYONE HELP ME?? MY 1 YR OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG WON'T EAT ANY DOG FOOD CONSISTENTLY AND I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING!!!

HELP!!! My 1 year old English bulldog is super picky about eating and I have tried pretty much everything!! I have tried feeding her every kind of dog food out there, dry food, wet food, human grade food, freeze dried or dehydrated food and it's the same everytime....she eats for a few days and then stops eating it.
I tried different kinds of protein, fish, beef, lamb, chicken, tried with/ without grain. I've tried farmers, pates, broths etc, Ive tried warming food up, softening dry food and she trys it and then a few days later she stops.... I just dont know what to do? ANYONE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?? I have noticed that her lower jaw is a lot longer then her upper and maybe thats why? (I know the jaw is normal to be longer on bottom but maybe thats why?) If anyone has advice I would love it.

Have you brought her to a bulldog vet for XRays? Might have stomach problem. You tried every food under the sun so now, you basically need to rule out health issues first.

Does she stretch more than normal after eating? if so that's a sign of discomfort, in the stomach.

2. Offer the food you want to feed by placing it in a bowl and bowl on floor for 15 minutes.
3. After 15 minutes, take the offering away.
4. At next mealtime, repeat.

We've never seen any of the over 1000 Bulldogs we've rescued go more than 4 days. Most "get it" after 2 days. Bulldogs will not starve themselves to death although they know exactly how to make you think otherwise.

No she doesn’t stretch. She will eat things other than her food (like cat food, human food or treats), she just refuses to eat her own food.

No not yet because she will eat if its anything other then "dog food (i.e tries to eat my cats food, or wants treats or human food, just refuses dog food)," and she still poops regularly, not throwing up etc...

As long as she is healthy, and if she eats other food she probably is. The above is what you do.

Ok I’m a bit late to this and hopefully your dog is now eating well.
One of the things I’d suggest is to stop trying so many different foods. All that’s doing is causing confusion and more fussiness.
Stick with the food/s you want to give (if there’s no allergies) a dog like any other living being will not starve itself. Just replace the food each meal time and the habit will soon kick in. Don’t feel bad if your dog doesn’t eat for a day or two, she wont starve herself, just be firm and hang in there.

I’m learning that Winnie needs to be interested in her food before she’ll eat it. Right now she’s on the Nature’s Instinct rabbit protein however she doesn’t eat it by itself so I add a little bit of a topping to it so she has a more pleasant smell for her and then she’ll eat it. I have been using the Stella and chewy’s meal mixers super beef. I usually just crumble it on top of her food and she’s more interested in eating the rabbit. However, she does eat most of these proteins with no issue. So I’m not gonna give her rabbit again, but we rotate each bag.

I’m happy to hear she’s doing much better. Although it would be ideal if you didn’t have to add extras to make her interested. Sometimes you can’t get hold of the things you normally use. There might be an occasional time you have to substitute her regular food. It’s rare but has happened to me on occasion and with Freya’s many stomach issues it was difficult at times.
Might seem odd but have you tried making mealtimes stimulating and fun for her? Such as a difficult food puzzle feeder?
A treasure hunt around the house or garden. Freya especially loves a prey bag! It’s a bit of a pain for you sometimes but they love the chase and can only eat when you open it and take a bit out at a time. It has the added bonus if your girls hi energy like Freya it tires her out! It’s a good way to slowly mix other foods into the mix.
These are only suggestions but thought I’d mention them as dogs love it.

Whatever works is the key. I never owned a dog not eating. I do remember Nyala would turn her nose on certain kibbles. But that bowl stayed on the floor till she ate it. I didn’t have any other dogs back then, was easier lol. Another great topper if she gets fed up of rabbit is raw liver. 1/4 cup thinly sliced. Just a thought.

The jaw misalignment is worth checking. Significant undershot bites can make chewing uncomfortable, which explains why she tries food then stops after a few days. Have a vet check her bite specifically. Use flat shallow bowls or plates since deep bowls make eating awkward for flat faced breeds. Stick with wet or softened food for easier chewing. The rotating food is also partly behavioral. Bulldogs learn that refusing gets something new. Pick one quality single protein wet food and stick with it through the refusal. A healthy dog will eat when genuinely hungry.
