Help my bulldog keep urinating on my bed.

My bulldog bud had been with me for almost 2 years in July and I can't seem to understand why he keeps urinating on our bed for no reason. This also happens after he has already gone for a walk.

Sounds like he is a wee bit jealous and is marking his territory. Probably pissed when u kick him out of the bedroom on Saturday nights.

Bud is so very handsome :)

As you know by now...bulldogs are weird & do weird things.

Who knows WHY he does it...you must go back to Potty Training 101.
Take away bed privileges, sofa privileges, etc until there's improvement.
I've taken in two adult bullys (different times) that did this too. It may be
territorial marking. Make sure he understands that YOU object to it and
the consequences are no hanging out on the bed until it stops. Period.
Be firm, kind, patient, consistent, stoic...Bud will get the msg.

Welcome to EBN, glad you've joined this fun, knowledgeable group :)

:welcome3: he is a handsome boy!

Does he only do this on the bed... no where else in the house?

He is marking the bed. Not because he's pissed. Or jealous. But because you are his. He wants his scent on there too. Its a show of affection I suppose.

Baxter always does this too. I believe its instinct for them. He knows he's not supposed to, but sometimes will look over at me with guilt on his face, just before he does it. Its a reflex for him. He smells a lot of me. And none of him.

Same thing happens with his beds. When they are freshly cleaned, he sniffs them up then pees on them. (The ones *not* in his crate). Freshly cleaned. Then looks horrified and guilty. Reflex. Instinct.

My Rampage did this at first as well. I had to go back to the basics, he was crated in the bedroom at night, and then eventually allowed to sleep on the floor (or under the bed which made his snoring echo), after a few months, I occasionally allowed him back up and he didn't pee anymore.

I have a crate but bud does not get crated. Hardly ever does he go in there, he is free to Rome the house wherever he wants. He basically uses the crate as a toy storage.

I would close the door to the bedroom when you can't see him.
