Flaky Skin?

Hi,

I just noticed, while brushing my 4 month old female EB, along the top of her back she has flaky skin. It almost looks like dandruff.

I feed her Fromm classic, and also just started using ACV in her water, and supplementing with Salmon Oil. Friday evening she got 1 squirt of salmon oil with her evening feeding. And Saturday she got a squirt with breakfast, and a squirt with the eve. meal. So Saturday was the 1st full day of Salmon Oil.

I also (and this may be where I'm wrong) sprinkle a little baby powder on her to keep her fresh in between baths. I don't use a lot of baby powder, just a little for the fresh scent.

She's not scratching a lot nor does she display and signs/symptoms of allergies....

Any suggestions??

If it is just dry skin, the fact that you are now giving her salmon oil should help dry skin-it will take a little while. Powder would tend to dry your skin. How about a scented baby wipe-if she doesn't have allergy?

Agree with Lynn... the powder can be striping her natrual oils from the fur... stop that and see if it helps. Also, Fromm Classic, I believe has grains and she might have an issue with one of them. Start with the powder and see if there is any improvement. Oh, and how often do you bathe her? Cause too much bathing could be an issue too
