First trip to the Deer Lease/pic heavy

I took Mac Daddy to the deer lease for the first time this past weekend. He had a blast, tons of sticks to pick up and chase, cows,donkeys and horses to sniff and play with. Plus we have 2000 acres to play around on and smell, he had a great time and was all tuckered out on the way home and last night.

Great pictures! Sure looks like Mac had a good time! I saw a couple of donkeys in a picture. Watch out, Mac! Donkeys will go after and stomp an animal that they think doesn[t belong in their field!!! You are too handsome to get stomped!! Watch out for the front hooves next time you go there!

Those are some great shots of Mac and the animals! I love that first one of him examining the horse. What exactly is a "deer lease"? do you have to pay a fee to roam around there? pretty cool!

we pay a rancher to hunt his property for deer, dove, hogs, quail and such. we lease about 2000 acres that has cattle, horses and donkeys on the property.

I didn't bring him to my deer stand, but I did shoot two does and I let him smell around them before I cleaned the deer to take to the butcher

My husband is an avid hunter and down here they hunt with dogs.....everytime he comes up he gets sniffed like crazy...I always tell my husband he doesn't appreciate you cheating on him with those deer dogs!!!!

2000 acres!!! that is a lot of land to cover, no wonder Mac was so exhausted, all that running, walking, sniffing... heck now I am tired.
