Anyone know how to stop dog from biting,I've tried everything i can think of to stop him from biting. He doesn't do it all the time just when he's jumping on the couch and i tell him to get down and push him off he comes after me..

Also he is getting bad about peeing in his crate when he is put in there for short periods at a time..Like when my daughter is eating i put him in there and he pee's..i know he is doing just to get out because he could just pee and then he gets put in his crate and he does it.

Thanks

How old is he? Have you taken him through obedience training? Does he have designated training time with you every day?

The "coming after you" could represent a stress response behavior. One thing to try is training an incompatible behavior. I think the key point is teaching him to regain control when he is wound up. Relax or down on cue is great for breaking the behavioral cycle.

My first thought was "is he still a young puppy???". This seems like puppy behavior when they can be extremely mouthy. He will need to be trained to not play rough. If he's still in the shark teeth stage, its tough to get them to not lead with their mouth

he is about 7.5 months old..we got him when he was about 4-5 months old.
