well im taking Rebel back to the vet tomorrow, hes been itching his ears like crazy, hope its not an infection, what else might it be?

It could be mites? do a bit of research on Google for pictures of dog ears mites or infection

Could be yeast infection in ears.

Do they smell? Usually when they are infected they have a rather odd odor. Some people say it's a yeasty smell.

agree with others, try a good cleaning -- is there any smell/odor are they red or hot/warm to the touch?
