DNA & Color Testing

Looking into color testing. Some of the tests aren’t necessary but I’m a little overwhelmed on which tests I actually should do. Should I go and ahead and do a full panel color testing + Merle test on both of them? Should obvious merles even get color tested? Help. I’ve been googling and looking through Facebook groups and forums and can’t seem to find the answer I’m looking for. In my research I did find that a majority of testing facilities do have “English bulldog testing panels” that already have the required health tests that are necessary.. so that question was answered

Please excuse my ignorance, but why is colour testing necessary? Is it for breeding purposes only?

Some of us do colour testing to insure not to get the Breed standard's undesired colours and some do to get them.
