Well Lola, Dexters girlfriend, may be coming to live with us forever!! Her mommy feels bad that she doesn't get enough attention with their new baby and thinks she would be happier with us.

I feel awful for her momma and daddy! I've told them that we can keep her however long we need to. If she wants her back then she can certainly have her and we'll do whatever is best for Lola.

But on the flip side, I'm so excited!!

And before anybody asks, yes they're both fixed and love each other already. She's the ONLY dog the boyfriend has ever approved in addition to our current fur kids.

How /where has he "approved"her? Has she been in your house? If so, I would let them play in the yard for awhile, and then let them in the house. If she has not been in your house, Dexter may not approve. Jackieshoes

Be careful with forever. Have the owners signed and certified their desire to turn this baby over too you?? I hate to be a downer but it can happen if the proper language is not in an agreement.

So kind of you to give her a home. I don't have any experience with transitioning to a 2 dog house, but have heard leaching the new pup to you for the first week and slowly giving freedom helps them both acclimate.
