Done. Christmas morning....

Christmas Day. Kyan runs in waking us up screaming 'mommy! Mommy! Santa came!'

In the morning. I usually have to wake everyone up. Then we give Remi one of those GIANT bully sticks, that is impossible for him to choke on, and we then take it away and throw it out at the end of the session. It's amazing just how much he goes through in only 30 minutes. (I know what you are all thinking - you would think I learned my lesson!!!) But seriously, the rule of thumb is the bully stick has to be bigger than he is for him to chow down. It keeps him busy while we do our thing.

We open one each on Christmas Eve (a childhood tradition) and then the rest on Christmas morning. We wait for everyone to come over first and have a Christmas breakfast then open gifts around 11.

We usually have all the fam together on Christmas Eve and that's when we open, but we're having Christmas Day lunch instead to accommodate a nurse aunt who had to work last night. So the boys opened one of their presents last night and will do the rest today. Can't wait!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

We used to open them Christmas day, but now the kids are gone and I'm usually working so we don't do much for the Christmas anymore.

I should say the majority of us open on Christmas day. Orion opens them when ever the heck she wants. She thinks anything wrapped in tissue is for her. I caught her unwrapping gifts that were not intended for her multiple times. This was the first year that I wrapped her gifts in regular paper (last year trying to video them for the secret Santa thread was tough. I had to keep removing the soggy tissue from their mouths) She had no clue at first and didn't even want to touch them.

We open presents on Christmas Day, but Dudley had different ideas last night...he stood in front of his stocking crying and barking and carrying on...so he got his gifts last night -- the brat!

Christmas Eve for gift exchange and then Santa of course comes!

Everyone is allowed their stocking Chistmas Eve and all the rest on Christmas morning.

When the kids were younger they got to open one gift on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. As they have gotten older it depends on who they are going to visit or if they are work which day they will open their gifts.
