Hi iv just paid a deposit for a male bulldog pup I don't know much about them but I'm told they have some problems with their tails. Does this tail look ok or will I have problems in the future?

The tail looks fine. it will require maintenance though. You are going to have to see if there is a deep pocket under it. I have two bulldogs. One has a nub that sticks straight up, no maintenance required other than a quick wipe once in a while. My other one has a tight cork screw tail that requires cleaning with witch hazel twice a day. debris gets stuck under the tail that has to be cleaned out. The fawn colored baby doesn't look like it has a cork screw tail and I can't see the other guys bum.

Welcome to EBN Charlie. Real cute pictrue. I can't really tell other than it appears to be corkscrew tail. There maybe a pocket underneath. At any rate, you will have to wipe Charlie after going potty as well as perform daily maintenance in the tail area. There is plenty of information here in the forum. Please do a search for "tail pocket" and "daily maintenance" which will provide you with tips on maintaining a healthy Bully.

We had Jewel's tail amputated during here knee surgery and no more tail pocket. Bentley on the other hand has a tail similar to Charlie's. We use witch hazel for maintenance of the area as well as uncented towlettes after he goes potty. When his tail area gets real irritated (yeasty), we use Malecetic Otic Ultra for a couple of days until the area wipes clean...then back to using witch hazel.

Thanks for the help guys much appreciated. Pick him up next week. ☺

Thanks you guys any ideas on which foods and treats are best for a young pup?
