Searching for a breeder/bloodline

Hi Everyone

I’m very new to the site. I’m trying hard to track down a particular blood line of a French bulldog that passed this summer.

We cannot find any papers for the dog and he was bought from Harrods around 14 years ago. I have contacted them a few times but it appears that they have destroyed all of the paperwork relating to their pet department and cannot offer any further help tracking down the breeder. They were helpful enough to point me towards this site but that’s about all they can do.

Does anyone on the forum have any details on breeders that may have supplied Harrods with French Bulldog pups around 14/15 years ago? He was named Bob at the time which doesn’t help when tracking him down either

Have you tried local French bulldog groups or dog shows? You might find someone in those circles with potential information

You might try the kennel association that is the equivalent of the US's AKC. They should have papers if you registered your French in with the kennel association.

Even though the papers are lost, some breeders might have old records or might remember selling dogs to Harrods.
