Bulldog Health Update

Hello everyone thought we would post an update since April 2022. My dog is 12 and we have been struggling with a combination of food allergy, vomiting, fainting, seizures, and what we thought was sleep apnea for a number of years. After several recent ER visits due to bloating, we found out it was congestive heart failure stage C and he has been struggling with high blood pressure. This seems to be contributing to alot of his issues. His symptoms have stopped with controlled medication and diet. It took us many vet visits to properly diagnose, please look into heart disease in your pets, its more common than you think. I hope this helps!

I'm really sorry your dog has been going through so much, but it’s good to hear you finally got a diagnosis. Heart disease can be tough to spot in pets, especially when symptoms seem to point to something else, like allergies or sleep issues. My dog had a similar experience a few years ago where we were chasing different diagnoses, and it wasn’t until a cardiologist stepped in that we realized it was heart-related. It’s great that your dog is feeling better with the right treatment now—definitely a relief after all those vet visits.
