Bristol is back in the ER

Great news!...just so happy to hear of this improvement :)

Celebrating Bristol's imminent return HOME...where she belongs!

I just got the afternoon call from the vet her WBC is in the 12,000's YEAH!!! She is still labored so they will keep her in the Oxygen cage through the night and try to wean her off tomorrow afternoon and see how she does. She has been eating today and no regurgitation!!! The doctor said the earliest he would foresee her going home would be Wednesday afternoon but the possibility of Thursday or Friday may be more likely! I really pray she has turned the corner I miss her snuggles!
That's such wonderful news!!! I know it's hard having her away, but she'll be home giving snuggles before you know it!

I am Praying for You Bristol to make a Speedy Recovery, you are strong Baby Girl you will make it. I am sending Loads of Love to You Sweet Heart.

Joey and I are praying for Bristol to come home soon and safe!!! Come on baby keep fighting for your Mama!!!! Looking forward to a positive update today.

The doctors weaned her off of oxygen at 4am and she ahs maintained being off of it all day. She is still labored breathing between 33-36 and then would like her in the 20's before they send her home. They have her at least now in a larger crate and the oxygen cage is so small and I am hopeful that she has turned a corner if all goes well we may at the earliest take her home tomorrow I will know more tomorrow around lunch.
Thank you for all of your prayers-she is a fighter this one!!

Yes continued prayers - Tyson was in the oxygen chamber for 5 days!!! Then slowly started to wean him off towards the end until he could hold his levels! Sounds like she's improving! She'll be home before you know it!

Well she had to go back in the oxygen cage last night. They said her O2 levels are good but breathing still too labored and the X-rays still show pneumonia. Now they are saying she will be there through this weekend. Her recovery has been harder and more expensive then then surgery. I was not emotionally prepared for her to be this sick and gone this long. I know she is in the best place but we just miss her so!

Sending many prayers for Bristol.Poor girl has had a rough go,and so have you Momma.:cry:

Oh I am so sorry to read this, I hope that Bristol feels better soon… sending prayers!!!

I am sending positive thoughts that Bristol recovers soon. Poor thing and poor you to go through all of this. Best wishes for Bristol to make a speedy recovery and come home to her family!

NOOOOOOOOO...Mommy needs her baby home!

And, wow...the costs really start adding up, hoping y'all have
insurance, if not, care credit is helpful and even a GoFundMe
for precious Bristol.

Continuing to pray for y'all & that she does so well, Vet lets her
come home sooner. Big hugs <3

So I went to the Hospital today to speak with the vets and just go over their action plan. She is getting turned over from ER to Internal Medicine-basically the specialist is now in charge of her care, she is making some improvement with the xrays but not as much as they would like her CBC looks great. She is on 3 different antibiotics and they are now just in a lets give the needed time for the oxygen and the meds to work. He said this weekend at the earliest. He said if it was any other breed he would be concerned that the pneumonia was still lingering on but with bulldogs it is not uncommon for them to take a little longer to beat aspiration pneumonia. He didn't feel me seeing her would be good because he didn't want her to get to excited but he took a video of her and a picture. I am hoping the little mess on her chin is just a little food.

So that is my sweet little peanut just holding her own and trying to get better. I am so hoping she gets to come home this weekend.
