Help Needed! Bongo pukes after running is it normalish?

Hi all,

Long time no talk sorry these pups keep me going. I have one question when we go out for walks if Bongo gets crazy active and running a lot he sometimes pukes.
It doesn't happen all the time just after really vigorous running. He doesn't drink when we go out so he will sometimes get really phlegmy and them throw up and it's usually not much and undigested food.
Is this just because he's done too much. Don't know how to get him to drink water he won't even drink out of one of those collapsible bowls?
So any insight would be cool.

hm sarah doesnt run so not sure. perhaps make him take breaks when he plays to cool down. dont let him eat or drink anything for a while before going out. lemon juice squirted in the mouth helps with phlem. hopefully someone will come along soon to help.

I think it's just from doing too much, as [MENTION=2291]cowsmom[/MENTION] said use lemon juice to help break up the phlegm.

It could be all the excitement he's exhibiting that's causing him to gag. I know if Finn gets over excited he will start coughing for a few seconds and then with rest, it stops.

I agree with everyone else, Bacon will do this occasionally if he gets really nuts.
