Hello everyone! Iā€™ve seen many people feed their dogs blueberries but the breeder I got my bully from said not to feed them any? Is this something specific in his breed or does anyone have anymore knowledge on this for me? Thanks! :fie:

Wesley gets them as treats (frozen) he loves them and they are also in some of the dog foods over here in the UK and our vet has said they are ok so i would say they are ok :D

Why did your breeder say they werenā€™t?

I give my bullies blueberries in the summer... they also love strawberries, bananas, and watermelon!!! It's a great treat...

Oh okay! Iā€™m not sure, I asked and he said thatā€™s just what heā€™d heard from other breeders..

Blueberries are fine for dogs and full of good antioxidants. Whenever I have them I throw some in their bowls as a treat.

Breeder might look at it as not necessary, but no reason not to if you wanted

Blueberries are generally safe and beneficial for dogs, as they are packed with antioxidants. Many dog owners, including those on this forum, feed them to their pets as occasional treats, and some vets even approve of adding them to a dog's diet. However, some breeders may advise against them due to personal preferences or specific breed concerns. Other fruits like strawberries, bananas, and watermelon are also popular choices for dog treats. You might also be curious about can dogs eat pineapple, as itā€™s another common question for pet owners exploring safe fruit options for dogs.
