Chloe does this; I actually call it suckling. It's definitely a soothing thing for her. My husband can't stand it, but I think it's endearing, LOL!My bulldog has a stuffed animal a monkey that he loves he often takes him and bites down on his head then lays down with him in his mouth for 10-20 mins. Anyone know why he does this seems to be a comforting thing.

Yes! My Clyde does exactly the same thing, he even makes a low rumbling noise while he does it. He does have a lot of anxiety and it seems to soothe him. If he gets over stimulated or stressed out by his environment he tends to start suckling his lamby. My bulldog has a stuffed animal a monkey that he loves he often takes him and bites down on his head then lays down with him in his mouth for 10-20 mins. Hi, Voodoo has been doing this since he was a pup. He suckles on it for awhile, sometimes 30-45 mins. He used to go to sleep this way as well until we got Breezy who wants all the toys. LOL. I know other bulldogs that do this. Seems normal. My bulldog has a stuffed animal a monkey that he loves he often takes him and bites down on his head then lays down with him in his mouth for 10-20 mins. Max does it also. He used to it more with his monkey also, but lately it’s his tennis ball. He can keep it in his month for hours. He will lay down with the ball right next to him and make these noises. He is telling us to play with him.Hi, Voodoo has been doing this since he was a pup.
