What a sweet girl you have there! When I first saw the pic I thought it was a cherry eye. Is it irritating her or is there anything coming out of the eye? Have you had her to the vet's yet to get examined?

Poor girl. Nails so long too. She needs a good spa day. And a vet check.

her nails have been trimmed that eye is really watery im in the process of getting her to the vet (no car) it was swelled up when i got her i switched her to grain free shes now able to open it fully

Hi and welcome to EBN. I'm also from Canada, I live in Burlington, Ontario. Tessa is a cutie, thank you for rescuing her.
It looks like cherry eye to me too, my female Blossom developed cherry eye in both eyes when she was 5 months old, and we had them repaired when we spayed her at 7 months old. Why do you think it is not cherry eye?, have you had her to the vet yet, has he said its not cherry eye? I would take her to the vet and have her checked out, and he can confirm if it is cherry eye or not, or look for other causes of her eye swelling.

heres a better pic

It looks like cherry eye to me too, hopefully you can get her to the vet soon. She's very beautiful, I love her tooth! :welcome: to EBN!

I know you said it wasn't cherry eye, but that's exactly what it looks like in your last pictures. Is there any way you can get a close up pic of just the eye?

Hi can I ask is it there all the time or is there a change ?

it always there on the corner

When my kids leave the heating on and the house is mega hot diesel gets this just before his cherry eye pops out,
I take him out side and with one massage it back it, it takes seconds and isn't hard, have you tried to massage it back in.

She is a cutie; looks like she needs some TLC. It does look like cherry eye to me but I am no vet; recommend a vet visit and have them diagnose it. When Amber was young she got an eye infection and I took her to the vet and they gave me some sab to put in her eye. It cleared up within three days and the redness was all gone but it did look close to this. I would also see if the vet can chop down those toenails as much as possible, it may take a bit since they are so long and the quick has probably grown out longer than usual. Good luck and she will come around; Tessa will look like a million bucks in no time with all the TLC she is getting from her new mom. Take care!

She is a very pretty girl and thank you for rescuing her and giving her the love she deserves!! I agree it looks like cherry eye. I would definitely get her to a vet to have her checked out. Good luck!!

It does look like a cherry eye, but if it's not the it's an infection or inflammation of the third eye lid.
