35917707525_3b8527ef8b_h.jpgHello, Roxy is a little over 6 months now and just had her spade. When should i start reducing her food. Right now we feed 1.5 cup 2 times a day. She is already 44 pounds, but vet said she is not over weight.

She is stil growing, if she starts gaining fat, then you should reduce food.

i guess looking down on her if i can still see her hips she is alright?

Cutie little Roxy! Like RiiSi said no need for now.

You don't want to see ribs...just look for the dip at the back of the rib cage. If you can see that then you are fine.

You can reduce food to 1 cup twice a day anywhere after 6 or 7 months of age up, or at the same time you switch from a puppy food to an adult kibble. Some people like to do this at 1 year old. Every puppy is different, and if she isn't overweight and is doing well on the food, then it's okay. I switched our two guys to adult kibble and reduced their food to 1 cup of kibble twice a day when they were 7 months old and after their spay and neuter.

You're good ... as others stated she is still a pup and no need to worry about weight right now
