I have Brie n Triheart currently (I think)?, but want to discuss Sentinel as well. Does sentinel protect from ticks as well as fleas and heart worm?
My concern with Sentinel is that the fleas can still bite the dog and potentially give the dog a disease because it just sterilizes the fleas so they cant reproduce.
Almost all other products kill fleas on contact so they never get a chance to bite the dog. Where I live this is important because our fleas can spread the plague.
It does protect against heart worm.
And I think with trifexis, it doesn't protect against ticks? Is that right?

We use Heartguard and K9 advantix II. We live next to a lake and also take our pups camping so we need the Tick protection. For those that use Sentinel if there is a concern about Ticks talk to your vet about using a topical such a K9 advantix II in addition to since it does not kill or repel ticks.
