The "Adopted English Bulldog" Photo Contest

We are going to do a special holiday contest specifically for Adopted Bulldogs.

As many of you know, we wish to continue to spread Rescue Awareness within our "Available English Bulldogs For Adoption" area of the website. We would like to create a banner that will display on all of the forum pages, and of course we have the "Adopt a Bulldog" paragraph on all of our site pages as well.


When we see a photo of an English Bulldog with their new family, we see and feel a working miracle, and such joy that brings to the face of the family with their new bulldog is indescribable. We would like people to view this joy when they come to our website, and continue to spread rescue awareness with such images.

So we would love to place your photos in areas all over the website, on different pages of the site. With approximately 40 pages on our site, your photo will likely show up on one of them in this campaign. We want the campaign and photos to be real, unlike how many retailers use models and model dogs to promote false advertising. We want to show the truth!

To clarify what we are looking for, the photo should be of you, your family and your adopted bulldog, preferably on or close to the day you adopted them.

Entries will be accepted until December 1st. Voting will be done for one week, winner and runner up will be announced on the 10th of December.

Please include your bulldog's name, date of adoption, and rescue organization you adopted from (if applicable). Please also include the name of which English Bulldog Rescue Organization you wish the $100 winning prize to go to.

What a wonderful idea!
Here is a picture of our marvelous rescue, Snickers. Snickers was adopted from Chicago English Bulldog Rescue on June 23, 2008. She had been a puppy mill breeding mama for the first 3 years of her precious life. When we adopted her, she had only been out of the puppy mill for one month and had given birth right before she was rescued. Adding Snickers to our family has enriched our understanding of love and compassion and has fueled our passion for rescue. If Snickers wins this contest, please donate thee $100 to Chicago English Bulldog Rescue. Thank you!

Even tho Norman is an English Bulldog, we adopted him through CHicago French Bulldog Rescue. He was found on Craigslist. His original owner couldn't handle his "affection". Although at first they would laugh and they never stopped him from showing his affection. We adopted him on August 10th, 2010.

Tulip came to our house for foster on June 27, 2010. We made her a permanent part of our family on October 16, 2010. These 2 photos include myself, my husband, Tulip and her new sister Lily. The photos were taken just after we signed our adoption contract! We couldn't be happier with this addition to our family!!!! Hello! We adopted my sweet boy Butler on June 28th, 2010. He spent 3 months in a wonderful foster home after being found as a stray, and my hubby and I were so so so lucky that someone else didn't adopt him first. He came to us with valley fever and was really sick the first couple months, but with lots of diflucan, pain management, and probably 200 thousand kisses, he is as good as new! He loves to watch football with his dad in their jerseys, but he is still a mama's boy for sure

If he gets chosen we want to support loveabull rescue! they neutered him, fixed his cherry eye, started him on valley fever meds, and gave him a great temporary home until he came to live in his forever home.

This is Monty Jansky. He is 7 years old. We adopted him through MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue, which is the rescue we would support if we win. His Gotcha Day is Feb. 28, 2010.



We started out fostering Monty, but knew almost immediately that we would adopt him. We fell in love with him the day we picked him up from his surrendering owners. He was a mess – full of infections – ear, eye, skin, tail pocket, etc. He looked very old and tired, but he literally jumped onto my lap in the front seat of our car and never looked back. I think he knew we were going to help him and love him. Within just a few weeks, he was a completely different dog. He makes me laugh every day and I am so thankful to have him in my life. We absolutely adore him.



One photo is from the Bully Beach Bash that MidAtlantic Bulldog Rescue had in October. Monty got to meet his fellow rescue friends for the first time. The photo has my husband, Rick; the foster dog we had then, Moe; Monty; another of our bulldogs, Molly; and myself.

The second photo was taken while we were waiting for the Boston Terrier (Tucker)’s forever mom to pick him up on his adoption day. Monty came along with me for moral support. It’s always a blessing to find our fosters the perfect forever home, but bitter sweet because you love them all and miss them terribly.

We got our Sweetie from Illinois English Bulldog Rescue in Sept of 09.These are pictures of Sweetie with her new sisters, Tessa and Tori. They love her! She has her share of issues but she is a very loving dog. We would love the 100 dollars donated to IEBR. They recently took in 22 bulldogs over Thanksgiving weekend, so they can use all the help they can get.
