We live in a flea prone area, but Pan hasn't had an out break. I have heard that this year is suppose to be horrible for fleas and ticks because of the warm winter.

We use Trilefix (because its the only thing available right now).

I have also read that a lemon juice and water mix is a nice repellent, but since we haven't had an issue we've never tried it. But you have definitely gotten a lot of great info!

I'm late too!!!

So this is what we use in the rescue when we go pick up a bully that we know is flea-ridden.

Give the bully a "capstar" tablet as soon as we get to them, that will start to kill all the hatched fleas within 30 minutes. Take home and bath in blue Dawn dishsoap! Once they are out of the bath, we treat them with frontline. Personally, I then give them capstar every 24 hours for about 3 days in a row just to make sure!!!!
