So since Bear has been feeling better he has been eating his food like a mad man, this morning after his antibiotics my mom fed him his food (he’s being transitioned from hills to fromm) but this is the first time he threw up. We’ve tried the tennis ball and big rocks in the bowl but they kinda don’t work so we’ve been looking for a slow feeder my question is which would you guys recommend? I’m worried about bears flat little face not being able to reach the food with the more intricate designs of the bowl.

I have a slow feeder for my Rottweiler. If he does not finish his food, my English Bulldog puppy has no trouble getting at the leftovers. I have one of the Outward Hound bowls (It is plastic though - I would have preferred stainless steel). It is also one of the large ones; I don’t know if a Bulldog would have a hard time getting at a smaller bowl. On a side note, they work great. My Rottie would eat 2 cups in less than a minute and throw up 2-3 times a week. He has not thrown up since we got the slow feeder. Good luck!

My previous EB had a slow feeder. I got him as per the attached linked. I did wash it each time. Or try putting a ball in his bowl. It works but not for all dogs. Duke would toss it out. But some members did the ball n were satisfied. Try it in case it works.

If the slow feeders don't work, you could always add a little warm water to his kibble and give it a good mix... I did that to my bulldogs when they were pups.

yep... this is what I did with Banks.

We bought one from petco yesterday and he couldn’t reach the kibble at the bottom so we had to continue looking, that’s the biggest concern is that I want him to get it all but his nose as you all know is very short. I did some lovely 2 am amazon searching and found one that I think will work it’s coming Sunday so I will try the water trick, we’ve been mixing the rest of his baby food in with the kibble as it feels silly to return 70 cent baby food but we don’t want to throw it out either so that kind f makes him slow down but I’ll update on the slow feeder I got to see how it is. 5BCF7215-3F89-48D1-88AE-1E523813286A.png
