That is very cool, but lightning is scary. It's a good thing you were taking the pictures from far away.
They say you have more chance at getting hit with lightning, than you do at winning the lottery, just don't test it out, make sure you stay safe.

Both of my grandparents, on my mother's side, were both struck by lightning! Just thought it ironic, lol...huh, maybe I should have my grandma buy a lottery ticket!!!

Awesome pic of the lighting. As a fire fighter, I hate lighting, I love to watch it in the distance, but don't want it close. Too many house fires are caused from it.

Wow, really cool pic. I grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. I remember loving all the storms when I was a kid (Florida is so hot and humid, the rain always cooled it down a tad, so we could get back out on our bikes, lol).
