URGENT!!! Red spot on spikes head

A little update on spike, the spot healed up and is looking good, I started thinking of what could've caused the allergy and the only thing new he had eaten was some treats my wife had bought him. We have since stopped feeding him these and the spot has not returned. Thank you all for your advice and concern
