Please Help! 8mnth old had seizure after surgery

Yes unfortuantley I cant stop kissing and cuddling him lol Just want him happy! He has 24/7 care thank god I dont have to work! We go at 10 am so will leave my house around 6:30am to be there in time! FIngers crossed! Today is better so thats good! One day at a time! I will let everyone know the update tommorow with a new thread for him lol Thank you all again for well wishes and prayers! I am feeling so overwhelmed that you all care to take time to help me and talk me through my little rants Again thank you all so so much!

Everyone has already given you great advice, just want to add my good wishes for a positive outcome....I know how awful it feels to have your babies life/health in the hands of other people. Good luck, I will say a prayer for a full and speedy recovery; but it sounds like he has a great mama to make sure he gets the best care.

I haven't got the experience with seizures since I'm a little girl, my dad bred dogs, some times they would seizure. In the case of the vet and the charge, did you have to sign a release saying it may return again with a reoccurring charge? If you didn't this may be in your favor. You and your little guy have had a tough go of it lately, I'm sending prayers for quick painless recovery.

IDK That part is a gray area...I am going tommorow to get a second opinion so I will have more info as to what the cause for relapse was! I dont want to say they did something wrong but How did I???? I still think the surgens that did the first surgery, should stand behind his work and do it again at no charge to you. Our bully vet when we had Lucy neutered she had a complication and was bleeding internally. They kept her over night at a 24 hour clinic because they did not have anyone at their office at night to monitor her. They took her there and back to their office both days, did a second surgery on her and made sure she was out of the woods before we brought her home, all at no charge to us. That's what that animal hospital should do for you. I just love my vet, they are great bully vets and care about their clients. We will keep your little guy in our prayers and hugs to you and him.

I am going to get the second opinion and taking it back with me to see what they say and hopefully they work with me! THank you so much for your well wishes I have been hawking the site all day! YOu can basically say Im now addicted Thanks and I will update first thing tommorow The animal hospital has a good reputation and I couldnt belive it myself I mean the total will be at 4200 after all said and done and still no guarantee I mean its crazy! I will spend if I have to but want to ensure Im spending it wisely and not putting him through unnecessary surgery/pain! THanks again

Hi Rosemarie... I am so sorry to hear all this is going on with your baby... and bully positive thoughts to you and him. He is a handsome bully!

I live in PA just outside of Philly. I actually have been to the Animal Hospital in Tinton Falls many years ago with my sweet boy, as we were referred there by our vet to ensure Nitschke did not have a neurological issue. They were very nice and caring, BUT I believe they are considered a 'specialist' center which causes the higher prices, not to mention the area/zip code plays in the costs. I am happy to read you are traveling for a second opinion. Where in PA are you heading tomorrow? I can even call my vet get his opinion and see what his thoughts are, if you'd like?

I can also tell you tramadol is very safe as others have said. My girl, Banks is on it every day for her back and there are no side effects or strange behavior just a pain killer.

Yes Tinton falls is very expsensive but I thought it was worth it because I was getting the best care! I am so happy I found this site b/c I get good advice and have other people to talk to about it and vent my frustration! thanks again! YEs if you wouldnt mind checking with your vet I would def appreciate it! I called different vets but noone would really give me info unless they say him! I said all I need to know if its normal to relapse in 1 week without it even healing! But no answers thanks again for the time ur willing to tak to help us out!

TOTALLY agree.. if you have a place half the distance then I would go there too.
