Well James beloved seems to be a very good quality kibble and he loves it so I'll see how that goes and it's so frustrating not knowing what the allergy is. Knowing my luck it will be bloody grass! :) we have loads of it :/

Jwb is very good food but if your baby don't agree with it. it's back to the drawing board I am afraid
What is the protein ( fish ? Meat ?)

Thank you jules! I think I may have to get him tested then so I can get to bottom of it!

Jimmy. I changed him to jwb after he got redness as it started when he was on royal canin so I'm sure it's something to do with environmental allergy or something.. He's on duck and rice

I fed my dogs royal canin and swapped after hearing the reviews but if truth be known they flourished on it.
I take it you do the norm
Benadryl and medicated shampoo. At least that should take the edge off the itch until you find the route cause.

Yes that's correct will be using correct Benadryl and medicated shampoo until I know what it is got to wait a month until run out of prescribed antibiotics to rule out mites then I'll be going to skim specialist. Does anyone know how much it costs for them to tell you the exact allergies? I can imagine a lot!

Try an ivory bath,it soothes the skin, even kills fleas,I'm sure he has none, and they smell so good and fur is like silk! And its cheap..bonus!:)

Your Benadryl only has 8 mg per tablet? I honestly don't think I've ever seen that small of a dose in a tablet before. Usually the tablets are 25 mg each of diphenhydramine. If that is the case and your puppy is only 25 pounds you would give him three.

Yes I'm sure it said 8mg I'll have another look but I did think myself it was low. They weren't cheap either!

If you have a Costco nearby (not sure how many there are in the UK) or even maybe online. The generic is just as good. We get a bottle of 600 tablets (25mg) for about $6.00

Wow that's good I got 20 tablets for just under £5 - I'll have to buy some online next time.

So I can give him 3 tablets as he's between 20-25 pounds don't know exact weight.

Definitely sounds like yeast/staph. Did he recently have a vaccine? I would recommend Zymox enzymatic rinse. Wash him with a anti-fungal shampoo and add Zymox conditioner and leave it in. In the meantime, if he had a vaccine, this could be his immune system freaking out over it. Essentially the skin reacts because it's trying to detox whatever is causing this.

Hi mack - no he had one at 2 months weeks and this all started at 4 months out of the blue it must be allergic reaction. His white legs are just pink now and all his chest you can see his very pink skin - so strange, I'm trying everything that the vets have given me. He has medicated shampoo but isn't working so I'll try s couple of others including zymox. His chin is completely red too :( some days really red done days not so bad.

It's going my head and costing a fortune!

Thanks for your advise

If you suspect the grass... My girl is also allergic and I wipe her belly, paws and face with a cool wash cloth after being out, it does not stop the reaction but sure does help

I do that also after every time he comes back in from outside...even dry his mouth after drinking. Just nothing seems to work..I will keep everyone posted
