Our little Angus!

Hello everyone! I'm new here and we've just taken home our very first English Bulldog puppy a few days ago and boy he's so cute!

We still have a lot to learn on how to care for him and we're hoping we can learn a lot from this forum.

He's only 4 and a half months old now and 25lbs. Do you think he's going to be a big boy?

I think like with most of breeds (i could be wrong) he more likely be the size of his parents ;-))))

Our boy Trooper was 16 weeks when we got him and he weighed 25 lbs. He's 4 years old now and 65 lbs of solid muscle!!!

I agree, the size is going to be related to the pedigree. I got pick of the litter with Ace and he was the largest of the pups at the time I made the choice and the largest of the pups when I picked him up. There was a female in that litter that was close to his size and all the others were about the same size and a bit smaller than Ace and the larger female. Ace is already quite a bit bigger than his mother. The breeder told me she thought he would be about 15" and 55 pounds as an adult and he currently is at about 16 to 16 and a half inches and weighs 65 pounds at 9 months.

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome everyone! All I can say is we're extremely excited to see how he is going to turn up when he gets older. We have no complaints about his temperament, he's a sweet boy that listens! Tell him once and you won't have to say it again.

His appetite is really good and we're sort of holding him back on food intake. His currently on 3 cups per day of Taste of the Wild and ZiwiPeak mixture.

I've seen his sire and he's a really big guy. He sired a few litters that are currently in the show ring back in Hungary.

Angus is adorable...and those paws!! My Dudley had paws like that at Angus' age -- he weighs 80 lbs at 2 1/2! Welcome -- lots of really great and helpful people here!

Whoa! 80lbs! That's a real big boy. There's a side of me hoping Angus doesn't grow that big.
