Ok so everyone knows Brutus has been having a rough time lately. He is currently on Royal Canin Hydrolized RX food because of allergies and bacterial infection in his tummy. So he is doing great on this food except I know it is not the best food for him. He has no vomiting on this food but his coat feels rough and icky. Has anyone tried Blue Buffalo limited ingredient, Grain Free, Turkey and Potato? It seems like it would be similar to the single protein he is on now and might be better for him. Or do you think I should leave well enough alone. Any opinions are welcome and appreciated.

I don't know if it will help with Brutus but I have a friend who's bully does very well on the blue buffalo grain free turkey sweet pot.

Thats the one im looking at. It looks good and it really is a pain to have to get the RX and it is 90 for a 24 pound bag. I dont mind paying for it if there is absolutely nothing else but i think i might give this a try.

It looks like the main difference is the royal canin is a soy protien and the blue us 20% turkey protien.

A friend of mine feeds her bullies Blue Buffalo and they do fine on it, but every bully is different, so what may work good for one, may not work well for another. I would say just buy a small bag of it and try it. He might do well on it.

I agree-and with his recent tummy troubles, I would make a really. slower than usual change. Good Luck.

Thanks. I will let you know how it works.

Agree with the others.... Try but do it really slow change

Sounds like its worth a try, Natures Variety also has a limited ingredient turkey you may want to check out too.

Thanks everyone. I will do a real slow transition and see how it goes

I agree w/the gang… sounds like it may be a good choice for Brutus!!!

I was recommended to give Porkie Taste of the Wild. I have not given any other brands a chance. Treats vary, I am not good w names all grain free and gluten free brands. I pay little extra than the norm.
